This weekend it’s that time of year again: more than 7,500 runners will line up at the start of the VOLVO Tierparklauf and experience a very special run through the beautiful Tierpark Berlin.
This year will be very special – because Tierpark Berlin is celebrating its 70th anniversary! Participants will not only discover exciting paths through Europe’s largest inner-city zoo, but will also pass through a piece of Berlin’s history.
Whether you’re a professional or amateur runner – there’s something for everyone here. Participants can expect not only a unique route through the middle of the animal enclosures, but also a fun run!
The run takes place on both Saturday and Sunday and offers a breathtaking backdrop. The zoo, which shines with its extensive area and a variety of exotic animals, becomes a real stage for the running enthusiasts.
“The anticipation is huge, the demand overwhelming,” says Race Director Martin Seeber. “The concept works. The VOLVO Tierparklauf offers a wide range of routes, so there’s something for everyone. We are particularly pleased that the wide range of children’s races has been so well received. The focus is increasingly on the next generation.”
