What is the short distance?
We are delighted to announce a new race as part of the fastest city run in Germany, the degewo Great 10K. On 13 October you can start for the first time on the “degewo Great 10K short distance”. Over a distance of 4.2 kilometres, you will run from the zoo to the finish line at Charlottenburg Palace. Your starter bag with your personal belongings will be transported to the finish area at the palace by the “Berlin läuft!” team and can be picked up again there.
The short distance is intended for all ability and age groups, a perfect opportunity for everyone to get some exercise. Walkers are also welcome, as long as they keep to the target time of 45 minutes. The start time is at 13:30.
The early bird price is 20.00 euros if you register by 31 July. After that, participation costs 25.00 euros until the start of late registration on 29 September 2024. The late registration fee is 35.00 euros.

Timing & Rating
All participants of the degewo Great 10K short distance will receive a start number with their own Easy Chip from Davengo for timekeeping. The chip is attached to the start number, must be detached from it and worn on the runner’s shoe.
The first three places in the male and female categories will be honoured at an award ceremony in front of Schloss Charlottenburg.

The start is in front of the Elephant Gate (Zoo Berlin) on Olof-Palme-Platz.
Start time: 1.30 pm
Course
The time limit for the route is 45 minutes.
We ask for your understanding that prams, buggies and walking sticks are not permitted.
Late registration / re-registration / transfer
Late registration
If starting places are still available, late registration is possible. On the day of the event, late registrations will be accepted up to one hour before the start. Late registration will take place at the helpdesk at the Elefantentor (Olof-Palme-Platz). The helpdesk will be staffed from 12.00 noon. The fee can be paid in cash, by EC card or credit card.
Re-registration
In the event that you are unable to start and have not booked a money-back guarantee, we can offer you the following re-registration options until the start of the late registration period:
Re-registration from 10 km to short distance:
Please send us an e-mail to info@berlin-laeuft.de with your order number. We will make the rebooking for you free of charge. ATTENTION: In the late registration period, a fee of 7.50 euros will be charged for the rebooking. The rebooking can be booked in the online shop or on site at the helpdesk.
Re-registration from the short distance to the 10 km:
The re-registration takes place via our online shop.
Please select the item “Distanz wechseln” for your run under “Startplätze”. You pay via the online shop and will then be rebooked by us.
Transfer to another person:
You can swap participants via your user account until 10 October 2024 (after that only at the race pack office for a fee of €7.50). Simply change the participant details in your profile.
ATTENTION: If you re-register after 29 September 2024, the name on the start number will no longer be changed!
