BERLIN. The temperatures at the Berlin Zoo at the weekend were more in keeping with the savannah landscape than the polar bear enclosure. But this did not deter the running fans: More than 5500 sports enthusiasts took part in the VOLVO Tierparklauf 2023 on Saturday and Sunday – a hot record!
This time, the run on the starting places was bigger than ever before: many routes, including the children’s and bambini runs as well as the five-kilometre runs, were completely booked up weeks before the event. “The response to the VOLVO Tierparklauf is simply overwhelming'”, says Martin Seeber, race director and organiser of the “Berlin läuft!” series. “We want to further expand our concept with a wide range of courses and an extensive supporting programme.” The “Berlin läuft!” series continues on 15 October 2023 with the “degewo Great 10K”.
